Randolph R. Blank, 62, was driving a 2006 Ford F350 southbound near 617 Stricklerstown Road at 5:17 a.m. when he left his lane, went off the right shoulder, and hit a tree stump, causing the truck to roll over once, troopers said.
Blank was wearing a seatbelt, and the airbags deployed, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No other vehicles were involved.
Newmanstown EMS, Western Berks EMS, Richland Fire Company, and the Lebanon County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene. The vehicle was towed, and Blank was cited posthumously for driving on roadways laned for traffic, according to the report.
